You know what has been recently in my mind? What can I do this month in my city... That is usually an unanswered question for me. So, now I have decided to answer it for myself. Ladies and gentleman welcome this new section: Barcelona This Month. If you happen to live in Barcelona, or to be coming around at any time soon, I truly hope this is helpful! I have divided it into different sections and found out what is the most interesting this month, go and enjoooooy!
Music.
Mini Festival. http://www.minifestival.net/
A small festival of Independent Music with bands like The School or The Close Lobsters. It will definitely be a cool night with some different music to listen to. You can't miss it! and it is only 10 euros the entrance! 28th February
By the way, Katy Perry is also coming but I guess there are no tickets left for that one!

Carnival.
Oh! We shall admit that the very best thing of february is Carnival. Get dress up, put on masks and colorful colors and just have a lot of fun. The Carnival weekend (14th and 15th February) is just full of joy and happiness. Come to the city, dance in the streets and sing along with Barcelona's cheer.
Sports.
Edreams Half Marathon - http://edreamsmitjabarcelona.com/home/
Just in case you aren't tired enough on Sunday the 15th you can always have a nice morning run through some of the most iconic views in Barcelona. Go and run approximately 20km next to all the others sweaty passionate runners (hey, I actually enjoy it like that). You know what they say: anima sana in corpore sano.

Castellers Open Rehersal - http://www.timeout.com/barcelona/things-to-do/open-rehearsal-castellers-del-poble-sec
Hey! Have you ever heard about the Castellers tradition in Catalonia? If you haven't it is basically building human towers in different ways with piles of usually two, three or four people. It is such an incredible ceremony to see and so stunningly impressive how high they can get. And they are doing an open rehearsal on February 13th! I really recommend going there, you will definitely never forget that experience.

Museums.
Caixa Forum: Gènesis - http://obrasocial.lacaixa.es/laCaixaFoundation/home_en.html
The one and only Sebastiao Salgado is now delighting us with one of the most incredible photography expositions ever seen on Earth. Discover the most untouched places in the Earth, places were the human beings haven't yet been able to change (destroy can we say?). Explore some of the oldest African tribes or the breath-taking views in the South. Take a journey around the world to discover its more hidden places. And hurry, it is leaving on February the 8th!
