What's up Barcelona?
New month, new activities, more fun. As we say goodbye to April, the flowered month comes along and with a bunch of exciting options: from beach soccer to the Vamps concert. After February, March and April it is time for May to share its best! Some classics are still up like Palo Alto every first weekend of the month or brilliant museums exhibitions at CCCB, Caixa Forum -pixar is an awesome one for kids by the way!- but for today, we'll just focus on the May's ones and onlys. Shall we?
Beach Soccer Cup 2015.
The sun is approaching the city quickly and soon it will all be hot and cloudless and shiny, but to start the warm up, we have the Barcelona Beach Soccer Cup to entertain us with. It has been taking place next to the Hotel Arts in la Barceloneta throughout the first weekend of may. I'm not an expert on soccer/football but I strongly believe that every beach and/or football lover shouldn't miss the opportunity to attend the final match- Sunday 3rd at 3:45 pm!

Lindy in the Park.
Who is up for some swing music and some dance moves? The Barcelona Swing Association is preparing a meet up at Park of La Ciutadella. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month they all come together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon dancing. It is Sunday 3rd and 17th on May, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at la Glorieta (it is a kind of carrousel but without horses spinning around). Are you up for some of the best of Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong or Ella Fitzgerald? -forgive me if I got any musician wrong on their genre, it surely wasn't on purpose-

Formula 1 Barcelona Grand Prix.
Not that I am an expert on this subject, but it is quite exciting to have the Formula One being held on the city! So yep, unfortunately, besides saying it will be from 8th to 10th of May at Montmeló there isn't really much more I can share with you. Sorry about this one!

Primavera Sound.
We have some of our biggest and greatest musical festivals back: the Primavera Sound! Its its 15th year now and since its very beginning it has been showing its best. From Arcade Fire to Caetano Veloso last year. And this 2015 we are expecting it to be no less. On days 28, 29 and 30 the best popular music will beat at the rhythm of the city's innovation right next to the Parc del Forum. A truly exceptional festival for true music aficionados.

Brunch Electronik Barcelona - for Kids
And finally one for kids! Since last year the project and little brother of Picnik Electronik started and has been a wonderful and versatile alternative to chilly Sundays. It is expected to be run on the 10th and 24th of May and to come around with plenty of activities for the youngest in the family: from cooking workshops, to climbing walls and with some art and dance activities in between. If I were you, I would certainly not miss it (even if your child days have long been gone because there are quite a lot of activities for us too).

The Vamps in Concert
I guessed it was now time for some teenage momentum and the Vamps' concert was a perfectly right option to end up the post. Not that I'll be able to attend it, but something to consider if you are. This four guys are making big hits around the world, but will you dare to miss them playing live? When--> Friday the 15th of May.
...
What are you doing this month?
...
Sincerely,
Vera
