It was a beautiful Sunday morning, and although winter was coming around, the sun lights were all over the city. It was the perfect day to have lunch with friends, chill, and where else could we go than at Ca La Nuri Restaurant? It is calm, it is nice and a chic restaurant right next to Barceloneta's beach. What else could we ask for?
They serve glorious traditional (and so cool modern) paellas, great fish and a wide more variety of other kinds of food like salads or other sea food dishes. We had already been there before for my mummy's birthday last year, and this time we wanted to go with some close friends to enjoy a beautiful day together.

Ca La Nuri is located at the Passeig Marítim, the Barcelona Beach Walk. You can just sit in your table (inside or outside) and enjoy your time watching all the people strolling up and down, listening to the shy beach waves at the shore and be delighted by the gorgeous views.
So, once we were all the friends reunited (two families we were) we asked for a table and started to wonder which of the tasty dishes we would go for.

Finally, we made our minds. We decided to ask for a salad, bread with tomato, oysters and mushrooms for starters and three different kinds of paella for all of us to share (rices and fideuas should usually be order by a minimum of two or three people in the table, and we were 8). Mh, my mouth was melting as I saw the waiters carry up and down the food.
When they brought us the first plates, we all jumped to get a slice of bread. Wow, it was so good! And then we split our lettuce, tomato, parmesan and something else salad (I think it was ham), which was also great. More dishes came along, and they were always so delicious. The mushrooms (which if you don't know, I do deeply love them very much) were true glory.
Then, paella time! Oh, greatness. Three different paellas to give a try: the traditional Ca La Nuri one, the black rice one and the rabbit one. I personally had the traditional one, because it is simply my all time favorite. Everyone agreed that theirs was perfectly cooked too.
And not to forget, the service was so nice. Polite waiters and waitresses who new when to talk and suggest (which by the way, gives great recommendations - so listen!) and when to go away, but always with a bride shiny smile in their face. Oh, don't you love polite service?

At the vey end, they brought us a table with 6 or 7 different desserts. That is so great for me, I just sometimes see the dish title in the menu and I'm not sure if I will like it, because that usually depends on how it is made and which ingredients it as. So, having the opportunity to see them is a truthful relief for me. You know what I mean?
The waiter came along and enquired us which one would we like. My mouth was melting, which one would I like the most? My mum had a greek yoghurt with strawberry flavor - which she claimed it was awesomeness despite not giving me a try (mh) - and I had the Chocolate Brownie. Although it was a little too much chocolate for my taste, it still was a great lunch ending.
To conclude a wonderful afternoon (after having payed the bill, of course) we took a walk along the beachside all together, sharing some laughs. Oh, such a beautiful day.

I don't really have much of a final conclusion rather than it was a fantastic time for all of us, We did enjoy the food, the service and spending time together. And, moreover, it went all along perfectly. What else could I ask for?
Have you ever been to this restaurant? Which are your beloved favorite restaurants in Barcelona? Any recommendation? Let me know!
Sincerely,
