Autumn is here! Or the Fall, or however you want to call it: but it is October so everyone can agree that it is officially that time of the year (unless for those who live in Australia, or Argentina or any other country in the Southern Hemisphere because now it's spring for you! so exciting right?). Well, point is, it's sweater weather season back and there are plenty of things we all need to get ready for! Ladies and gentleman, a little roundup of favorite things to accomplish before Christmas comes around.
How beautiful is the scenery around you? Like seriously, I'm stunned how nature can come up to be so gorgeous. Despite Barcelona not being exactly the place you would think of as 'autumn paradise', you can still give a little imagination (and drive out of the city) to just stumble upon those orange/brown/yellow/red trees with the leaves slowly falling. This only happens once every year, so enjoy the views now!
Of course, a season where pumpkins and grapes and pomegranate and apples are all in, I'm in too (not so much for brussels sprouts though, sorry mum!). Then you get started on hot drinks, which is awesome as summer is not a really hot drinks season, and your back to holding that warm mug with your favorite beverage inside. Who else knows that feeling?
Is it only for me or do are you all having a busy May? Anyway, I hope everything is going fine. For me, this days have been tremendously crazy, and will still be for a while, but as I luckily -and not that it is often this days- had some spare minutes, I decided to compile this post. The blogging community is in its majority young, so we could say from the Harry Potter generation and I though you would love some refreshment of how awesome, brilliant and unique those book are. Have a lovely day!
SPOT IT! You know I would never want to bore you, so in order to make this post a little more fun I decided to snick in a fake quote. A famous and smart one, but not from our Harry Potter. Just from someone else. Will you find it? #catchyeye
PS. You can also try to guess who said what! Kind of forgot to add it to the quotes.
Hi lovely people from the world! Life lately has been kind of really busy (you know, studying, volleyball matches, exams again, family dinners and those stuff) so as a result, no time to blog -bad news. But, I somehow managed to get some time between school notes and shoelaces and I have complied a list of my favorite travel movies, all those films that will make your wanderlust grow even more than it was before and just have the desperate need to buy a plane ticket to some wonderful place in the world. It isn't much but I hope you can enjoy it.
Have an awesome week, too!
What are your favorite travel movies?
It is often said: life doesn't wait for anybody. And how true is this. It goes and on and when you realize a day, month or a year has already gone away. So, this is the reason why I decided to keep time holding into my memory. What did I do, then? I bought a long blue empty album and started to collect all the tickets, photos and other random stuff I found or was given to me, anything that trapped a story inside it.
There was a New York City map from when I visited the city, a pigeon I made at a Natural History Museum, various tickets from the cinema or other museums, the one and only One Direction concert ticket... and sometimes I do even attempt to make a drawing and I decorate the pages with my little quirky cartoons and randomness.
From time to time I filled with more and more items. A new ticket or another photo. I basically watch it grow. There are many many things that bring a shiny smile to my face every single time I see them, memories I now keep like a treasure inside my book, and inside my heart. Sometimes, I just open the book and have fun remembering all those wonderful things I once did, or I'll show it to some family member or friend, and then we'll remember together (this has just been a little cheesy, I know, don't judge me).
Keep scrolling and discover my little secret memories.
My little tips and tricks:
Come with me to explore my memories.
Whenever I show it to my father, he just always says: 'someday, you will pass through the pages once again and you'll be proud of what you've done'
And you, how do you keep your memories alive?
This time, I'm expelling things out of myself (oh I know, finally Vera!) to bring them into other people. Sometimes we have known are friends for so long, but there are still many things we don't know about them, yet. Sometimes, all it takes is to ask them. And that's what I did!
I enquired some of my closest friends to write down in a piece of paper what do they truly love and what their dream is. One by one, I explained what it all was about and asked if they would mind doing it. Just to know a little more about them. I was truly curious to discover what their answers would be. It was my little experiment. Actually, I did get some really interesting answers. Curious about it? I know, but don't worry. You can see the result right over here:
My name is Laura and I love writing.
My dream is that, someday, humans will appreciate our lives so much that we won't dare to destroy them.
Hello back! Today I decided to share some random easy tips that have been going around my mind about being a little nicer (which can always be something good). I know I'm young and inexperienced, but, you never know, a fresh view can also be a good view! So, here they are:
Ask how their day was.
Because when you've got a hard long day, the best thing that can happen to you is that somebody enquires how your day was. So you can let everything out. It's such a big relief. And if your day was awesome, it's also great to share it. It doesn't take much to ask this little question, and others will love you for that. Really. They will do.
Give a true compliment.
because if you truly feel it, why not let people know? When you think somebody is looking gorgeous today, if they've got beautiful shoes... or they have just been a really good friend (to my mind, these are the best compliments in the world), LET THEM KNOW. DO IT. We all work hard to give our best, and it's great to be recognized for.
Care about others.
Because we all know your life is so difficult, but ours is too. So we'll be grateful to have someone who love us (and we can love them back). If someone had an important interview, call. if you are around their house, give them a visit. if you can help someone in any way, do it. Maybe all this giving will also be some receiving one day.
Always be open-minded.
Because being way too stubborn can not help you in any way. Is someone proposes a different activity, why not try it? You never know when someone might be right or when something new can become something exciting. there are so many things we hardly know about, that missing the experience to try them would be awful.
Because it is simple nice. Who doesn't love people with a big honest smile? You can practice it! Sometimes, we might have to force a fake smile, we are not feeling well. But doing it will make YOU feel better and OTHERS feel better too. A caring smile is always a natural source of happiness, relief and love. Embrace it.
Tell the truth.
Because it will make things much easier. And nobody likes to be lied. You'll see how getting out of that complex knotty net of betrayals and fake stories is so pleasant. They say, live simply so others can simply live. They are absolutely true. Honest people will always go further. I'm truly sure about it all.
