Finally (after 428 days, which makes 10,272 hours in total) I made my mind. People, I'm cleaning my wardrobe. Yes, you can yell it out.
To make it easier to all of us struggling out there to be tidy, I decided to make a lists of the steps I followed to reach my goal:
That was probably the funniest part of all. I took the clothe and throw it all to the floor. I didn't care where I was putting it or where it was going to. Just take it all and send it directly to the ground. Feel free to make a cloth rain or swim in it. You'll have to fold it and put it properly later, anyway.
Now it's time to start putting some order to it. Get inside all that clothe you've thrown and start by dividing it into sections. But, really clear sections. Instead of 'trousers', why not try separating it in 'jeans', 'color pants' and 'old jeans or pants that might actually not fit'. It will make it a lot easier!
That's an important step if you have grown up recently. We're higher but our clothes aren't. And it comes the time when we have to say goodbye. Point is to check if that cute shirt or those gorgeous shoes are still fitting. Because they surprisingly might not.
Now is when we usually want to throw in the towel. It's exhausting all the dressing and taking off, classifying the clothe, looking for that one piece you can't find... Just seeing all those piles of cloth is tiring. How am I going to clean all of it? HEEEEELP. But do not ever give up. Think about taking a break, maybe watching Tv or reading and getting some fresh air.
Take a deep breath and patiently put in place all the clothe. Sorting it can be tricky business. By colors? By formats? By likeness? Just random? That's really up to yourself and what you feel more comfortable with (also meaning the way that will give you less trouble to find clothes in that tough times known as good monday mornings).
Are you proud with what you've just done? Was all the hard work worth it? We all hope the answers are yes. In fact, you've just made everybody's life a little happier: the clothe you're may give away will make someone else smile, your mum won't have any excuse to shout at you and she'll be proud of his/her little baby, your friends will find it a lot easier to steal your clothe (not sure if that's a good thing) and you, YOU, will be satisfied with what you've done, have much less worries when dressing and finally get to cross one line of the Must-Do someday list.
Now all it takes is to not mess it up again and you'll be fine (well, let's see how much time we can keep it clean...)! My friend, we are all in.
