It is 6th of January and today most of the families around Spain will be opening their presents from the Three Magic (also known as Wise) Kings. I found them in the street and couldn't help but asking them a few questions to let the Internet World know who they are.
To introduce you a little... what you should basically know is that the Wise Men are based in the biblical characters of the Magic kings who brought presents to the child following a start. There are three: Melchor (the oldest one, with a long beard and white hair), Gaspar (the youngest and blond.-haired) and Baltasar (he is black race and the middle one). So, let's go!

Me: Hello! You look exhausted! How has your journey been?
Melchor: Hi, dear. The trip has been pretty long... We took off in the Middle East and have been going through the drought deserts with our camels, then we took a boat to cross Gibraltar and we finally made it into Barcelona's port.
Me: Were you carrying many presents?
Baltasar: Oh, you can't imagine! We were bringing tons and tons of wrapped gifts for all the families around Spain, our camels are so tired! We also had to take with us a lot of coal, because you know, if the kids (and even adults) haven't behaved good that year they will receive a basket with coal. It seems like there has been a lot of little naught guys this 2014!
Me: So I guess you are very hungry.
Gaspar: Well, we actually are, a lot. I truly hope all families have left us some cookies and milk in their balconies or windows to recover energy and keep traveling. And don't forget to put a left sock or shoe in your house, so we know how many people is living there.

Me: Hey, explain me a little of what you did last night, on the evening 5th.
Baltasar: Right after mooring the ship who brought us, we prepared our carts and took a lot of sweets with us. Then we talked to the royal pages to check everything was ready. When everything was alright, we started our big stroll around the crowded towns of Barcelona. There was a ton of people dear, specially kids, cheering for us and asking for presents.
Me: That's sounds exciting. How did the night continue?
Melchor: We were very happy, and the lights and the festival was beautiful. Kids were delighted to be jumping in the crowd to get the sweets we were throwing at them. Finally, we made it to the end, were the town's Major handed over to us the city's keys so we could get inside all the houses around (without the need of having to break into them) and leave our presents for you.
Me: Awesome! I hope you have a wonderful evening Kings.
Gaspar: Thank you, we'll surely have it. And tomorrow, don't forget to eat you Royal Cake, I have heard it is very tasty and there is a little figure of us inside!

Of course, this wasn't a real interview, but I just thought it would be a nice way to introduce you to our Spanish tradition of the Three Magic Kings. Do you have any similar tradition in your country? Or anything else special?
