You might be wondering: what? Isn't it a bit too early for it? Well, not for students. Every September means starting again school/uni. New year, new classmates, new teacher, new exams, new problems to deal with. But also a new opportunity to do things right, a fresh start, to improve or to keep improving. So that is why instead of thinking about the 'end of summer' as bad news, I believe in thinking about the comeback as a great chance. For this year, I decided to share with you what are some of my resolutions for this next 9 month coming. Come with me?
NO TO PROCRASTINATION.
Ok. Obvious one for almost every single human being on Earth, isn't it? We all feel very attracted to the sofa from time to time and can't avoid spending time watching random Tv. Even tough I'm not the biggest procrastinator, as I usually get bored of not doing anything, I still may lose some time doing pointless things -like staring at the wall, thinking about life- or just convincing myself with the 'I'll do this tomorrow' and never actually doing it. For this new year, I'll endeavor to do what I have to do right away, and not two months later.

EXAMS, EXAMS, EXAMS.
Tough story the one about exams, am I right? The feeling of getting a great mark on them is just awesome, but it's hard to keep that in mind when you have been closed in your room for hours. However, this year my marks will be essential for my future, and even for achieving my dreams. Which, is a really good motivation. Therefore, my goal for exams is not to give up, to do it the best I can.
MEET NEW PEOPLE.
There has been a few changes on my environment so this is a unique chance to meet new people. You never know when you might find a friend for life! I love meeting new people and listening to their own unique stories so hopefully it's going to be interesting.
LITLLE MISTAKES.
I don't know about you, but talking about exams my biggest issue are the little mistakes. Just forgetting to answer the second question on those tricky double questions, ticking the wrong box because you are just not thinking it through or those tiny thing you don't even realize but at the end can be a significant part of the test. So, I'll endeavor not to be careless or absentminded, specially while I am doing important things.
VOLUNTEERING.
This is something I have been looking for lately and would love to get involved in for this year. There are so many incredible initiatives out there that I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to find one which can fit my schedules and preferences. For this year, I compromise myself to research some volunteering job to give a hand to those who need it.
TO DO WHAT I LOVE.
Of course I'll have to work hard, and study and worry. But on my way, I'll better enjoy it. And this is the ultimate goal. No mater how complicated it might get, there is always a good side to it. I'll have to find what i enjoy the most and embrace it. Yes, please. I have a whole year to come, 365 days to come. And plenty of opportunities to enjoy to the fullest those days.
What are you most excited for this upcoming year?
Sincerely,
Vera
