Oh it has been quite a while since I last blogged. And I'm so sorry about it! It has been hard to find a moment between exams, and feeling a little sick and extra activities and all the other things. But I'm back now and with a lovely story to share with you! My wonderful cousin Bea, who you might already know as once I interviewed her here at the blog (part 1, part 2) and who also happens to be a brilliant researcher at the IrsiCaixa Research Center, came home to share a nice Sunday's lunch, last week.
She took the chance to explain us the new project from her laboratory: the development of Epidemia the Game. An app for Apple and Android created by the kind help many professionals have given out freely and with the aim to both raise awareness and money for a good cause. To find an end to the AIDS.

The game itself its quite easy to play. You are in charge of Tupi or Pitu (depends on the version) who has to run away from the possible infections that are falling from the sky or it can shot condoms to avoid the virus too. Here is a quite useful video:
It sound to me like an awesome deal. You just have to give away a small donation, less than a euro, and in return, you get a really cool game (I promise is so addicting), besides having given your kind support to all those people fighting everyday to overcome a disease that doesn't have a cure yet -but might well have someday, thanks to you and to all the researchers giving their time and soul to the investigation.
So, what do you think of it? #shareitwiththeworld
