Summer is a great season to celebrate, isn't it? Barcelona does certainly know so, and that is why from, more or less, April up to October every neighborhood has its week of festivities. There are concerts, activities and a bunch of pretty cool things to do. Although every 'barrio' gets its time, there is none like the one they celebrate in Villa de Gràcia. It's a gorgeous neighborhood found in the north-center of the city, and in which you'll be able to spot little cute cafes and restaurants, nice traditional shops and some lovely clothe. It might remind a little to Little Greenwich in New York? However, if you are lucky enough to be around Barcelona in mid-august, then a visit to 'Les Festes de Gràcia' is a must.
I went for a walk around the neighborhood yesterday with a good friend of mine and we visited all the streets than have been decorated. There was a contest, in which most of the steets participated, and it was based on creating a new world or scene in your street. We found Japan in Barcelona, as well as Paris and the Moulin Rouge. Then we went back to the Playmobil Kingdom, to Avatar and even to a circus! There were just so many streets to visit them all, so tip of the week: grab a map when you explore if you don't want to miss anything!
Here are some more pics for you to see! Unfortunately, I didn't bring the camera with me as it was all kind of improvised, so sorry for the bad quality and lack of places!
