Some questions are often raised and discussed: is a perfect society a real society? Is there a way to make it unsurpassable? Will we ever achieve it?
Let's start step by step. An utopia is defined by the dictionary as 'An imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect'. That already gives us a few little problems. It says imagined, not real. But it is well-known that dreams can come true. Moving forward and accepting that we could make it, there isn't anyone who can really explain perfection. It might be existent or mythical, yet different for everybody.
I like blue, maybe you like green and others like purple. So, if a society is a group of joined people, how do we make an ideal understanding for every single ones of us? Many, many thinkers, philosophers and politicians have tried to accomplish it and by their own, no one has ever done it, for the time being.
We endeavour to reach perfection, and we also know that it's unreal. Although I believe that we still have to try to get out the best of ourselves and everybody through looking for those ideal values that define an utopian society: respect, equality and happiness. It's proved that societies and the world can change, because it has happened before - they change when people change too.
Sincerely,
Vera
